Sam Corey Senior Center
Funded by the Delhi DDA, this beautiful new senior center was designed for activities and fellowship. The Sam Corey Senior Center was also built with an environmental conscience, making it the first LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building constructed in Delhi Township. The building's geothermal heating/cooling system and Live Roof™ are just two ways in which this building is "green."
The senior center currently hosts several events, including Wednesday lunches that boast an attendance of more than 150 seniors. The facility also offers free exercise programs, card games, bingo and musical entertainment.

The Sam Corey Senior Center has a Live Roof™. This live vegetation roof is just one of the reasons the building is considered LEED certified. LEED is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
The roof provides the Sam Corey Senior Center with a better way to reduce heating and cooling costs, increase the roof's life span, reduce stormwater run off, filter pollutants and carbon dioxide out of the air and also filter pollutants and heavy metals out of the rainwater.
