Complete Streets
Join the conversation about complete streets
The term "Complete Streets" reflects the philosophy that streets should be for everyone: young or old, motorist or bicyclist, walker or wheelchair user, bus rider or shopkeeper. That's why states, cities and towns are asking their planners and engineers to build road networks that are safer, more livable, and welcoming to everyone.
Delhi
Township–in cooperation with Tri-County Planning and the State and County
Health Departments–is conducting a planning program aimed at advancing the
concept of “Complete Streets.” Put simply, this is an initiative to encourage
incorporation of walking and cycling amenities in future street construction or
reconstruction projects within the Township (bike lanes, bikeways, wider
sidewalks, mid-block signalized pedestrian crossings etc.). Please take a
moment to learn more by viewing a short video about "Complete
Streets" on the Delhi Township website at www.delhitownship.com.
