Security Devices

Security Devices Now Eligible for CRRP

Security devices designed to thwart or detect theft and vandalism were among the topics covered in a series of crime prevention seminars hosted for Holt businesses by the Delhi Township DDA and the Ingham County Sheriff's Office.

As a result of the seminars, a number of business owners expressed interest in purchasing security equipment. The DDA Board of Directors chose to support this interest by revising the Commercial Rehabilitation Rebate Program (CRRP) to include the purchase and installation of exterior security devices.

Such equipment includes motion detectors, enhanced exterior lighting and outside security camera systems. Businesses within the DDA District may now receive a rebate in the amount of 50% of the cost of purchasing and installing exterior security equipment, up to a maximum rebate amount of $10,000 per property. As with any other CRRP project, application and project approval guidelines must be met.
