Holt Auto Clinic
Holt Auto Clinic, which opened in July 1974, is a true mom and pop shop with two mechanics completing the staff, according to owner Dave Rothermel. Holt Auto Clinic repairs everything except automatic transmissions, simply because of space limitations, and one of its specialties is electronics. “There’s a lot of cooperation among the local auto shops,” Dave says. “We all talk and share ideas.” And if his shop can’t provide a service, he’s happy to recommend another quality shop. Dave notes that local businesses tend to evolve with what the community wants and needs, but the clinic is now working on cars from third-generation customers. That’s one of the reasons Dave loves living in the community where he does business.
