The Delhi DDA understands the importance of community and the value in providing a place that business owners and residents alike can take pride in. Because of this the Delhi DDA contributes to many projects that help to build a better community and bring that community closer together. The DDA has funded several projects, such as the Holt Farmers’ Market and Senior Center, that continue to make Delhi Township an even better place to call home. The Delhi DDA is constantly collaborating with several service clubs, providing funding for parks, and also working towards a walkable community.
Holt Farmers Market
The Holt Farmers’ Market is a thriving space that connects Delhi residents with local farmers and foodgrowers. Founded and funded by the Delhi DDA to improve the Delhi Township community, the market also works to educate residents about the variety and quality of the area’s rich agricultural heritage, highlights local artisans, and provides a platform for new businesses to grow.
Holt Community Center
The Holt Community Center has been newly established, housing the Delhi DDA office as well as providing office space for the Holt-Delhi Historical Society. In addition, the Community Center serves as a shared space that offers two meeting rooms available for reservation by Delhi Township organizations and nonprofits. If you are interested in using one of the meeting rooms, please contact Lori Underhill at (517) 699-3866 or via email at Lori.Underhill@delhitownship.com.
Sam Corey Senior Center
The Sam Corey Senior Center was designed for activities and fellowship to offer Delhi Township seniors a place to gather. The facility currently hosts several events, including Wednesday lunches that have more than 150 seniors. Also offered at the senior center are free exercise programs, card games, bingo and musical entertainment.
Holt Hometown Festival
Each year, the Holt Hometown Festival grows bigger and better. The festival offers a variety of events and activities for all ages and interests. Highlights of the Holt Hometown Festival include the Saturday morning parade and one of the area’s best fireworks displays to close the festival on Saturday night.
Holt Community Arts Council
The Holt Community Arts Council aims to make the arts a prevalent, accessible, and visible part of the community. As a community funded organization, the Arts Council offers art events, classes, workshops, and scholarships while recognizing and supporting local artists.
Delhi Historical Society
The Holt-Delhi Historical Society was established in 2014 as a strong partnership between Delhi Charter Township and the Capital Area District Libraries. Their continuing goal is to gather, preserve, and share Holt-Delhi history, while making this information accessible to the community.
